Family house with pool, Lipót

A timber-frame family house with a pool in Lipót, followed from the visualisations to the finished building. The construction was carried out by Bio-Ház Team Kft.

The brief

A detached family house with an integrated garage and a pool. Living and dining open onto the pool terrace, and a wide-span covered terrace links the interior with the garden. The plot also has an outbuilding.

Structure and materials

  • Reinforced-concrete foundation slab with insulated formwork edges.
  • Timber-frame walls, assembled on site together with the openings.
  • Timber roof structure, with exposed rafters and boarding above the covered terrace.
  • Timber-clad interiors with exposed beams and a tiled fireplace.
  • Prefabricated pool shell with timber decking around it and a telescopic enclosure above.
